HERE'S WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO LATELY

Back to School with JORD Wood Watches

Head back to school fashionably on time this fall with a unique and stylish #JORDWATCH!

I'm currently obsessed with my new Cora Series Watch in Maple & Lavender for so many reasons. For one thing, it is absolutely STUNNING, and it is also automatic, meaning it doesn't need a battery. It runs by winding as you wear it, which will obviously be every single day, so how cool is that?! You know, in case the bright lavender face, sleek wood casing, and Swarovski crystal accents weren't enough for you. It is also lightweight and versatile, allowing it to easily transition from class to the club in no time.

Back to School season conjures up tons of both expected and unexpected emotions each and every year -- typically ranging from "OMG I CAN'T" to "Well, at least this gives me an excuse to buy new clothes/accessories/school supplies." Regardless of where you currently fall on this spectrum, I think we can all agree that just about any excuse for a new wardrobe (and accessories to match) is a good one.

I'm going into my senior year at Oregon State (crazy!), and between working multiple jobs and participating in more than a handful of extracurriculars, it's going to be a crazy one. My number one companion for a busy schedule is my trusty planner, but as a fashion blogger and young professional I'm always looking for new, fashionable accessories that are as trendy as they are functional -- particularly those that allow me to check how many more minutes of Public Relations Writing I have to endure without rudely pulling my phone out, which almost always leads to a "quick" Instagram sesh lasting the duration of the class period.

Cue this amazingly beautiful and lightweight Cora Series #JORDWATCH in Maple & Lavender.

The unique color combination of the light wood and the vibrant lavender color made this love at first sight for me. And yes -- it is possible to fall in love with a timepiece. It adds a powerful yet subtle statement to every outfit no matter what the occasion is, and I never leave home without it. Just like my trusty planner, my #JORDWATCH is a daily essential for getting everything done that I need to get done -- in style.

You can browse and shop their latest series below! Just click on the scrolling banner to get all of the details on the entire #JORDWATCH collection. If you're looking to add a uniquely on trend and practical statement piece to your wardrobe this fall, a #JORDWATCH is definitely it!

What's In My Bag feat. U By Kotex® Curves Liners

I've been meaning to do a "what's in my bag" post for quite some time now, but somehow I never get around to it. Partly because I'm a busy person, but also partly because my purse is usually an unphotographable mess. I'll finally go through the details of my everyday essentials with you later on this summer, but thanks to an exciting partnership with Kotex® I'm giving you a close up look at my number one, can't leave home without it item -- the U by Kotex® Curves Liners.

First of all, let me just say that I'm in love with this tasseled crossbody that I scored at the resale shop I manage. It is such a fun color that seems to go with everything, and though it looks small it actually holds quite a bit! Here's a closer look at everything I"ve got inside:
A little fact about me: I'm all about being over prepared for just about everything. And when I say over prepared, I mean the "bringing seven pairs of shoes on a six day trip to San Antonio" type of over prepared. Not like that actually happened...

Even still, I've learned that you can never truly be too over prepared for something, because you never know what life will throw at you! There's nothing I hate more than being uncomfortable, so if that means bringing my puffy rain jacket on vacay in Los Angles, then so be it. It's to be safe than sorry, and the same thing applies to my periods.

No matter what time of the month it is, I never leave the house without an ample supply of U by Kotex® Curves panty liners in my bag. It is so easy to toss some into my backpack or handbag before heading out, and knowing that I'll be prepared for whenever Mother Nature comes around gives me peace of mind -- and what could be more comfortable than that?! Besides their obvious functions, there are many other ways that U by Kotex® Liners fit into my daily life.

As the manager of a local fashion resale store in my college town, I spend most of my day on my feet and running errands. Therefore, it is important for me to be both fashionable and comfortable all day long -- which is no easy feat! No matter what I decide to wear to work, I know U by Kotex® Curves Liners have me covered. And the fact that the packaging is bright and cheerful certainly helps as well!

As a dancer, flexibility and protection while moving are my top priorities when it comes to my period. I need something that will stay in place, even when I don't. U by Kotex® Curves Liners are everything I need and more because I can't even feel them when I'm wearing them, and they move right along with my body. They never fail to help me feel confident when it's showtime.

I know you're all going to love U by Kotex® Curves Liners as much as I do, so why not give them a try for yourself? Click here to get a free dollar off coupon today and find out why I'm in love! Even better, you can also enter to win some AMAZING prizes (actually really cool prizes, like $100 Urban Outfitters gift cards, a trip to L.A. with your besties, and much, much more!) by uploading your #BringComfyBack selfie while you're at it, all in one convenient place!

I'm not sure about where you all live, but this summer has been a HOT one here in Oregon. Like we're talking "It's 106 degrees outside right now when it's usually only around 85 degrees" hot.

Even still, I have been determined not to let the heat prevent me from carrying out all of the fun plans I have for the rest of the summer -- including staying trendy. For those days when I can't get away with wearing a swimsuit 24/7 (do I haveeeee to go into work today?), I still need something that is stylish, comfortable, and flexible for anything that may come my way. My new go to for work and girl's night alike? My amazing Little Black Romper (LBR).

Much like the all-powerful LBD, the LBR is a simple yet chic one piece that can be dressed up or down to easily transition from day to night. I love wearing my black, lacy Topshop romper with strappy flats at work or for running errands, and I can easily swap out my accessories and slip into some heels for late night drinks with the girls.

Here are three easy looks that range from simple to sexy, with footwear ideas that could be mixed and matched for all of your summer plans, from weddings to bar hopping. As per usual, I've made it easy for you to add this essential staple to your summer wardrobe! Simply shop these looks using the links above. Some of the exact items above are linked underneath the collage, along with some other similar styles at a variety of price points!

Here's to an amazing August. I hope all of your summers are going well!

xoxo,
