HERE'S WHAT I'VE BEEN UP TO LATELY

Happy Memorial Day!

I hope you have all had a fun & relaxing long weekend. Even though I had to work on most days (meaning no beach trips for me :( ), I was still able to get lots of stuff done and take a solid mental break from school. Three more weeks 'till freedom!

I've been incredibly busy lately and haven't had much time to blog, but I'm planning on some super cool weekly features that should help keep my work pretty consistent from now on (or at least once school lets out). I've seen tons of bloggers recapping their weeks through photos lately so I thought I'd hop on board. These will be selections of photos from my Instagram with more details about what I was up to, as well as a selection of new photos from my day-to-day. I hope you all enjoy following along!

#BloggerProblems

 I've been trying to play around more with flat lays, both just for fun and for showcasing products for my blog and/or clothes for my work's social media channels. One of the reasons I've been so backed up lately is because I tend to put way too much on my plate (I'm just an overachiever like that), so I'm still trying to decide what I do and don't have time for. Why can't there just be more hours in a day?! {P.S. I am still SO totally stoked for this ban.do planner, and I can't wait for August to roll around so I can use it (although I want summer to last forever). Order yours before it's too late!}

Desert Vibes

We've been getting warmer and warmer weather here in Oregon (finally), and I've totally been feeling some desert-boho vibes along with it. I've been trying out some new styles that have me way too excited for summer, from distressed ombré shorts and chunky booties to fringed tops and turquoise jewelry. Hopefully I'll get a chance to adventure and explore this summer and take part in some fun outdoorsy photo shoots, and maybe even put together a lookbook or style vlog for you all! Also, if you guys haven't signed up for your free month of Rocksbox yet (using my code LARAVLWXOXO), you seriously need to -- I loved everything in my first set (including this sweet Margaret Elizabeth cuff), and I can't wait to send them back this week to get a new box of fun jewels.

City Drinks

Running straight from class to work three or four days a week can be exhausting, so lately I've been stopping into the CUTEST local coffee shop for an iced brew before every shift. The shop, Tried & True Coffee Co., is located just down the street from my store, so it's a perfect pit stop. Their coffee is perfection, and their shop is PERFECTLY decorated. I'm seriously obsessed with the glass windows and the feel of the hole-in-the-wall shop, and their counters are insanely Instagramable. I'm in love.

Picture
Lovin' the Crew

Taking the 45-minute trip down to Eugene to go out with my sister has become somewhat of a regular thing now. Having just recently turned 21 going out to the bars is always a hit, and I never have anyone to go with me here in Corvegas, so it's been fun hanging with her crew in the Eug every week. I'm excited to have them come into town for the B.o.B. concert here on campus next weekend! (I still don't think it's hit me that that's a thing yet).

Funway Finds

As usual, I've found some even more amazing pieces at Runway this week that I am STOKED about. It's so crazy to me seeing some of the things that people give up! My favorite item of the week has for sure been this amazing poncho type thing that is black and white except for some bright neon threads. It is so unique and comfortable, and I can't wait to wear it to the beach or at a music festival this summer! I'm always looking for fun ways to add variety to my wardrobe, and outerwear is one of the best ways to do IMO this since they can be worn with pretty much anything.

What were you guys up to this past week? Let me know in the comments, along with suggestions on what you'd like to see more of on Sea Foam & Diamonds! Also, add me on Snapchat (@laravlw) to stay up to date with all of the behind-the-scenes moments from my daily life.

Until next time,

Happy FriYay!

Today's OOTD was inspired by this incredible leather jacket that I got for FREE earlier this week. It was actually the nicest thing ever -- I was buying a girl's clothes at my work on Wednesday, and she had the CUTEST stuff ever, including a few designer items. I unfortunately had to pass on some of her things due to some minor wear and tear (including this fabulous jacket), but she still made quite a bit of money for the things I could take (which was almost everything she brought in). After I paid her out I was telling her how much I loved her stuff, and she told me I could have my pick of the rest of it for free since she was just going to throw the it all away! I ended up taking this ah-mazing jacket and some Michael Kors jeans (hello), both of which I couldn't believe she was giving up. She was honestly the nicest girl ever and I hope she brings even more of her fabulous wardrobe in to my store soon.

Anyway, I've been looking for a new jacket that is classy with a bit of an edge for a few weeks now. As soon as I saw this jacket I knew it was perfect, so I was disappointed when I noticed some wear on the side panels, but I was so happy when the girl told me I could keep it! I've also been in love with this Forever 21 top since I found it at my store a few weeks ago, and I had noticed how perfectly this SLATE statement necklace from Rocksbox looks with monochrome pieces, so I knew I had a killer outfit in the making. To keep the look from going too formal, I threw on some distressed denim and my favorite rustic ankle booties. I also added on this Margaret Elizabeth bangle (also from Rocksbox) to add even more shine to my overall look.

Overall I am obsessed with today's look, which I'll be wearing for dinner and drinks with some friends after work, and I can't wait to create even more amazing outfits with this jacket and my current Rocksbox set! Sign up for Rocsksbox today to try out these amazing jewelry pieces, and use my code "laravlwxoxo" at checkout to get your first month FREE! Use the links above to shop the rest of this look, and let me know what you think of my outfit in the comments :).

As I'm sure you could tell from my Instagram post yesterday, I was STOKED when I saw that my first Rocksbox had finally arrived! I wasn't having the greatest day, and my Rocksbox wasn't supposed to get here until Thursday, so it was definitely a welcomed surprise. Read on to check out what my stylist picked out for me this month, as well as an offer code you can use to get your first month of Rocksbox for FREE!
Picture
If you still aren't quite sure what Rocksbox is, it's basically the coolest subscription service ever! When you sign up, you take a style survey and let the stylists know what you're looking for and what kinds of pieces you like and dislike. You can also add to your wishlist on the site by scrolling through all of the pieces available, OR you can connect your Rocksbox account to your Instagram and use the hashtag #wishlist in the comments section of Rocksbox's photos whenever you spot a piece you like!

You can also let your stylist know of any special events you have coming up, such as a wedding, an interview, a vacation, etc., so that they can tailor that month's set to meet your accessory needs. Whether you have any special occasions going on or not, the stylists truly create each Rockbox set to reflect your own personality and style!

The subscription only costs $19 per month, and you can choose how long you want to hold onto each piece or send your set back for a fresh look as many times as you want. Each set comes with three designer pieces tailored to your personal style (with about a $200 value all together), and shipping is always pre-paid both ways! You can also easily shop each set after you have a chance to test the pieces out, and you'll receive exclusive discounts on each piece by purchasing them through Rocksbox. In addition, each month of Rocksbox comes with a $10 Shine Spend credit, so you're basically making your money back on purchases you might have made anyway.

I am absolutely OBSESSED with everything that my stylist picked out for me this month! She picked out perfect pieces that fit my style survey and requests, and I'm so excited to style each of these pieces this month. My favorite part is how they all go together so well, so I can wear the whole thing as a set or separately.
  • Margaret Elizabeth Teardrop Bangle in Labradorite: This style of cuff is totally in this season, but they can sometimes be annoying to wear because of how easily the jeweled side can flip over and hide under your wrist. This bracelet, however, is cut and shaped so perfectly that is stays in place all day long, and it sits nicely at the base of my wrist so it doesn't get in the way of my watch, or I can wear it pushed up my arm for a trendier look. I'm also obsessed with the Labradorite stones. They are set perfectly in the vibrant gold, and they almost have a tiny bit of transparency to them. They also have multifaceted faces that reflect the light and color of the stones perfectly.
  • SLATE Golden Flair Necklace: THIS NECKLACE, OMG. You all know that I have a plethora of statement necklaces, but this one may just be my favorite so far. It has just the right amount of weight to it to make it feel like the quality, designer piece that it is, but it isn't so heavy that it gets uncomfortable. This necklace is the perfect shade of dusty gold, and it features two layers of feather-esque gold panels in varying lengths, giving this necklace an edgy-chic look. It's the perfect statement piece that is bold yet subtle, and its bib style is perfectly cut to wear with many different types of tops.
  • Kendra Scott Tessa Stud Earrings in Slate: I'm not a huge fan of Kendra Scott, but these earrings are definitely an exception. Most of her pieces can be overly preppy for me, so I definitely like her darker-stoned pieces a lot better. These earrings perfectly compliment the earthy stone vibe of the Margaret Elizabeth bangle, and they are the perfect size of studs for all day wear. I've been wearing lots of crystal and pearl studs lately on my seconds and thirds, so these are the perfect compliment for my first set of piercings.
Overall, I am in love with all of these pieces, and I can't wait to keep styling and photographing them! Stay tuned on the blog to see how I'll be wearing each of these pieces together and separately this month, as well as which ones I'll potentially be purchasing.

Want to get your own box of hand-picked-just-for-you designer jewels sent straight to you? Sign up using offer code LARAVLWXOXO to get your first month FREE -- why not try it out when there's a $0 price tag?!

Feel free to ask me any questions you may have in the comments, and let me know which piece is your fave!

Current Summer Beauty Faves

I know I'm not typically a beauty blogger, but there have been some beauty products/tools I've been LOVING lately so I thought I'd take a minute to share some of them with you!

Summer to me, as with most people, means hot days, long nights & cool drinks. I can't wait to spend my days looking pretty and lounging by the pool and my nights partying with friends, but between work and play this summer I'll need a little help looking my best! Here are some awesome products that I'll be keeping on repeat this summer.
  • OGX Nourishing Coconut Milk Anti-Breakage Serum: This stuff is seriously a godsend. I'm on a total coconut binge right now, so pretty much anything with coconut in it is a winner in my book. Not only does this serum smell amazing, but it feels so good lathering it into my hair after a nice shower, and it keeps my hair shiny and silky long after use. When spring and summer come around I pretty much always get the urge to keep my hair straight, so I can use all of the anti-breakage help I can get!
  • Chi Ultra Hair Straightener: Speaking of straightening my hair, my hair is so naturally curly that it is hard to keep it straight for very long. However, that all changed when I finally splurged on this beautiful Ulta-exclusive Chi straightener! It glides smoothly across my hair and leaves it pin straight in a fraction of the time it used to take me, and it is specially made to cause the least damage to your hair as possible. I was lucky enough to walk into Ulta when they had a major sale on this baby, too -- it is normally a $150 straightener, but I got it for only $72 last week PLUS a free tote!
  • Victoria's Secret Hair Leave-In Conditioner: Since my hair is so naturally thick and curly, I only need to wash it every other day. Even still, after sleeping on it for a night I usually need some help styling it on that second day! This leave-in conditioner is the perfect spray for combating early morning fly-aways, and it helps me manage my bedhead in seconds without making it look wet or greasy.
  • Kate Moss for Rimmel London Eyeliner and Lip Stick: As I discussed in my previous post from my #BellaVoxBox, these two items are perfect for everyday wear! They both stay put all day long, and they are perfect for me whether I'm going out or have a dance performance. These two will definitely be in my bag of makeup staples for the near future.
  • CoverGirl CG Smoothers BB Cream: I don't know why I didn't discover BB cream sooner. It basically replaces a million things from my makeup box, all in one easy to use cream! It is an excellent foundation/primer, and it also works to protect your skin from the sun while keeping it smooth and radiant -- and more! Even when I don't have much time to get ready in the mornings, this cream is so easy to use and it looks great even on its own.
  • Bioré Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser: I've had acne problems since I hit puberty, and since my skin is so finicky I often have to switch up my facial cleansing routine to keep it as clear as possible. When I saw this cleanser at the store I decided to give it a go, and I'm so glad I did! It smells amazing, and the whole "Don't be Dirty, clean your face with charcoal" thing really seems to work wonders.
I hope you can all try these products this summer, no matter what your plans are! I highly recommend each and every one of these products since I know they will help carry me from beachy summer days to hot summer nights with ease. Have some products you think I should try out? Let me know in the comments!

What's Up Wednesday: Bella VoxBox Review

When I found out about Influenster about a month ago, I couldn't believe I hadn't heard about it sooner! I highly recommend you check it out if you haven't already, especially if you're a blogger and/ or you have a high social following. It's a great website for you to share your opinions about your buying habits and product/shop ratings, and each month they send out VoxBoxes to a select group of their users, which are full to the brim with free products to try out!

I was so excited when I was selected for my first VoxBox this month, the #BellaVoxBox! Let's take a closer look at everything I found inside:
Picture
  • Not Your Mother's Dé Jà Vu 'Do Style Extender: I haven't had a chance to try this one yet, but I'm excited to! Being someone who has naturally thick and curly hair, I only need to wash my hair every other day. My hair doesn't get greasy at all after that first day, but it can be hard to style it nicely after going through a full sleep. I also like to straighten my hair, and it is hard to get it to stay straight sometimes. I'm looking forward to seeing how this helps in both of these scenarios!
  • #DoveWithRealFruit Whole Blueberries: These were seriously so good. Blueberries aren't my favorite fruit, and I typically enjoy chocolate paired with things like cranberries and strawberries, but I loved these! They were the perfect texture and so delicious, they definitely make a great (and mainly healthy) snack for school, work, and play!
  • EcoTools Complexion Collection Mattifying Finish Makeup Brush: This brush is incredibly soft, and it makes brushing powdered blush onto my cheeks feel so much less harsh! Its light hairs help color your cheeks in smoothly and transparently, giving my regular "going out" makeup look a much more natural feel. This brush was the perfect size for my blush brush, but I would definitely be interested in checking out the other brushes they have for the rest of my makeup routine as well!
  • Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs in Medium: I haven't tried this product yet either, but I am definitely looking forward to using it for an upcoming concert or party. I tend to look pretty tan for 95% of the year, but I'm also a dancer with lots of cuts and bruises so my legs can always use some help in the ***Flawless department. Stay tuned for when I finally get to test this out -- I'll be sure to post before and after photos so you can all see how much (or how little) it transforms my legs!
  • Rimmel London Scandaleyes Mascara & Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss: These two items are probably my FAVORITES from this VoxBox! The mascara brush is perfectly formed to give you huge, perfect lashes every time, and it lasts all night long. I've also been looking for a good red lipstick to try out, and this one is perfect! It has a matte-looking finish that stays put and looks great for hours. I loved wearing both of these new beauties when I went out for Cinco de Mayo last night!
  • Club W Wine Voucher: Having recently turned 21 (well, it's been over a month now, but it still feels like it was yesterday!) I am all about chances to try new alcoholic beverages. Club W seems like a great way to try out some new wines since they help you find the perfect ones for your taste preferences and eating habits! Can't wait to try this service out in the near future. Summer wine party, anyone?
Overall I am so happy with everything I got in my VoxBox, and I'm looking forward to continuing using the products I already love and to try out the ones I haven't had a chance to yet! Stay tuned for updates and more in depth reviews on some of these products.

Love any of these products, or have some similar ones you think I should try out? Let me know in the comments!

OOTD: Dreaming of New York

Michael Kors Channing Rose Golden Stainless Steel Watch • Michael Kors
River Island Womens Gold tone tribal rings pack • River Island
Panacea Long Druzy Pendant Necklace, White
Quay Nala Sunglasses
Love Tree Olive Cargo Jacket
Jennica Embossed Leather Slip-Ons • Cole Haan
H&M - T-shirt Dress - Black/New York - Ladies • H&M
Today's look is something I have wanted to try for a long time, but until now I had never had the right pieces to do so!

When I was in Eugene this weekend, I made an obligatory stop at H&M. When I went in there I had found an exceptional number of things I liked that were also at decent prices! As most of you know, I am an absolute sucker for anything and everything New York related, and this New York t-shirt dress is so sporty and comfy that I couldn't resist it!

T-shirt dresses are super trendy and chic right now, but as with anything baggy they can also cause you to lose your figure in the mix. To help prevent this, I used my favorite olive/military green jacket as an accentuating belt. This shade of green is pretty much a neutral, so it was a nice addition to my otherwise pretty monochrome look. Even better -- if it gets cold out at all today I can just throw my jacket around my shoulders!

These luxe snake print slip-ons are also from H&M, and they were such a great price, to! I'm usually one to stay away from sporty shoes, but these ones are so classy and comfortable that they go with pretty much anything, and they are so easy to add to any outfit.

To accessorize, I threw on my new Quay Australia sunnies, which I am totally obsessed with. I was so psyched when I found out they were available at a local boutique, so I had to go purchase a pair immediately! They also reposted a photo I tagged them in on Instagram, which is seriously so cool seeing as how my photo is now mixed in with photos of celebs sporting their Quay's with thousands of likes. I'm one of them (kind of)! Seriously though check them out if you haven't already.

I also tossed on my quartz necklace that I've had on repeat lately, and I've gotten so many compliments on it over the past few days! I found it on eBay for like $6, so even if it isn't real it totally plays the part for a fraction of the price. These rings were also found there for about $1 each -- totally worth it even if it did take a while for them to ship in from a different country! My rose gold Michael Kors watch and Misfit fitness tracker are obviously daily staples as well.

I'm absolutely loving the t-shirt dress trend, but let me know what you think of my look in the comments below! Shop a similar look using the links above, and be sure to follow me on Instagram to keep up with my upcoming adventures.

P.S. You may have noticed Sea Foam & Diamonds has a new look! All of my amazing graphics, including my signature, was done by the incredibly talented Steph over at Jenssen's Designs -- go check her out! She has tons of great items at incredible prices and is so great to work with :).
